actually the name "contact" would be more practical if you are measuring the distance between the wing tips. being past 180 degrees is bringing them closer together at that point... HOWEVER! if you are measuring with the radius with a diverging zero extended forward from the center of the bird's mass it is rather accurate! But apart from that, I would say this is pure awesome.
